January 2010

I hope everyone had a great Christmas; we did!!

We were able to get nearly all of the kids and Grandkids here this year for Christmas.  Julian and Dacia were not able to be here and were missed greatly.  We had terrible weather; a blizzard starting two days before Christmas and lasting until Christmas morning; but everyone was able to get here and back home safely.

I just finished a custom ordered slip-joint folder.  Photos are posted on the “Gallery” page.  I took photos of the construction process of this knife and sent them to the customer.  He has posted the photos on a few knife forums as a progression thread.  As of this writing, he has still to post the final pictures of the process, but should have them up soon.  The forums are BladeForums, Custom Knife & Gun and The Usual Suspect Network.

I am currently building an 8” version of my Chisholm Trail Camp knife for a customer.  I should have it done in about a week.  I also am working on a few knives for the Arkansas Knifemaker’s Show.  There are several other knives in process on my bench, including a large folder that I will receive the handle material for this week.  I also have a knife to engrave and much work to do on a “Secret” project that I am building.

I am still waiting on confirmation that the class that I am to instruct at the Moran School of Bladesmithing will be held.  It is possible that there will not be enough students signed up to fill the class.

Have a great January!!
